I tried checking in through dine-rewards.com it was such a headache. It kept making me sign in again, then after I finally filled everything out, the page just froze.
I was standing there in the restaurant refreshing my phone like, why is this so complicated? The staff couldn’t really do much to help either, so it just made the whole thing more frustrating.
Something like check-in should take maybe 30 seconds, not turn into a whole ordeal. Definitely not impressed with the experience

I signed up thinking the rewards emails would actually help me find useful deals, but most of them don’t really match what I want. I keep getting alerts for places I never visit or offers that aren’t even close to me, and some of the same emails show up over and over. It also makes me wonder a bit if there are hidden fees or some catch buried somewhere, because the emails aren’t always clear about the details. It’s not terrible, but at this point I usually just delete them. They really need to make the alerts more relevant and straightforward.

The order was mostly correct, so that was nice. One item was missing, but I guess getting everything I paid for was a bit too ambitious today. The rest was fine, at least.

It’s decent when the restaurant actually participates in the rewards, but it feels hit or miss. I’ve had some meals count with no problem, and then other locations either don’t show up or aren’t included. Not awful, just wish it was more consistent

I did get my birthday reward, so that part was nice, but it was way more confusing than it needed to be. It took a while to show up, and the rules weren’t really clear in the app. The restaurant eventually accepted it after checking, but the whole thing made me feel like I couldn’t fully trust what the app was showing me. Not a terrible experience, just frustrating and kind of disappointing.

"Fixed eventually, but the wait was annoying"
My rewards weren’t showing up, so I had to contact support. They did sort it out in the end, but it took a few emails and way too much waiting in the queue before I got anywhere. It wasn’t a terrible experience, I just wish it had been quicker and didn’t involve so much back and forth...

"My points never seem to add up"
I don’t know... the points just never seem to show up correctly after I visit. Sometimes I get fewer points than what the receipt says, and other times nothing posts at all. I’ve reached out to support, but it feels like they just send the same copy-paste replies. at this point, it doesn’t feel worth keeping track of anymore.

"Funny how the offers are never actually usable"
I signed up thinking I’d actually get some decent discounts, which was apparently a bit too optimistic. Most of the time there’s nothing useful, and when an offer does show up, it’s either for somewhere nowhere near me or comes with so many restrictions it might as well not exist. Love checking the app just to be disappointed.

I had a bunch of points saved up, but they expired before I got around to using them. Annoying, because I thought I had more time. The site itself is fine, but the reward rules could be a lot clearer.

"Way Too Many Steps to Find Anything"
I got so frustrated using the site. It felt like every little thing took way too many clicks, and I still couldn’t find what I was looking for. It shouldn’t be this much work just to navigate a website.

"Not gonna lie, the app is really frustrating"
Not gonna lie, trying to use the dine-rewards.com app was annoying. It kept logging me out, and even when I signed back in, my rewards still wouldn’t load. Most of the time I was just staring at a spinning screen waiting for something to happen.
I was actually at the restaurant trying to use it, and I eventually just gave up. Nobody wants to hold up the line or stand there messing with an app that won’t work. The rewards don’t really help much if you can’t access them when you actually need them.

I use Dine Rewards mostly for Outback, and every now and then for Carrabba’s, and it’s been decent overall. The points usually show up like they’re supposed to, although sometimes they take longer than I expect, which is annoying but also not a huge deal.
The weird thing is I like the program, but I also think it’s kind of limited. If you live near the restaurants it covers, it can feel worth it, but if you don’t, then it’s almost pointless. So it’s useful, but only in a specific way.
Overall, I’d say it’s fine. Not amazing, not terrible, and somehow both worth using and easy to forget about. I’ll keep using it when I remember, but I’m definitely not planning meals around it.

Just a warning for anyone trying this out: make sure you read the rules carefully. I had to go back and reread them because they weren’t as clear as they could’ve been, and it’s easy to miss something

"I ended up waiting way longer than..."
I ended up waiting way longer than I expected, which was frustrating. The seats were decent enough once I finally got in, but the long wait definitely chipped away at my trust a bit. I’m not sure I’d feel confident coming back if the timing is always going to be like that

I’m not saying the rewards program is bad, but it was a bit frustrating that not all of my orders counted. Maybe there’s some rule I missed, but from my side it felt kind of picky...

so I tried reaching out to dine-rewards.com support a few different times, i didn’t get much help. It took forever to hear back, and when they finally responded, it didn’t actually solve the issue. Frustrating when you’re just trying to get a simple answer.

"Redeeming rewards shouldn’t be this frustrating"
I tried to use my reward it was way more hassle than it should’ve been. It kept sending me around in circles, and after wasting a bunch of time, I still couldn’t get it to work. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but if a reward is offered, I feel like it should be simple and straightforward to redeem.

I tried making an account, but it just kept looping and never sent the code. I messed with it for about 20 minutes before giving up. Frustrating and felt like a total waste of time.

"Rewards don’t really live up to what I expected"
I was expecting the rewards to feel a little more worthwhile, but the points build up really slowly. By the time you finally have enough to redeem something, the reward feels small, so it’s a bit disappointing.

Uploading my receipt was okay in the end, but it took longer than I expected and felt like a waste of energy. It did work fine once it finally went through, but the whole process could’ve been smoother.
